Bible Learning Centers

Setting Up A Learning Center

To begin, make your station worksheets, manipulatives, and boards. (See the Work Stations page.)
You will need to section your present tables into private workspace or make station booths. It is also possible to use learning centers at desks or open tables. Just make sure the students have everything they need to complete the work station.

The teachers are very important to a learning center. They need to be dedicated to teaching the Bible to children and willing to spend some time getting the learning center up and running smoothly. For elementary school age children, we strongly recommend using the "storytelling" method to teach. Teachers should become fluent in the lessons and "tell it as if it happened yesterday and you were an eye witness."
These photos will help you visualize what a learning center can look like.
